Main purpose of the Role

 

To deliver a prompt and professional service to the existing client base. Ensuring that all renewal income is in line with the company budget and that the client’s interests are being duly served. To assist with new business broking and to help ensure the smooth internal running of the Personal Lines Account.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

•          To ensure professional service of existing accounts and retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements in accordance with the Procedure Manual

 

•          To assist in the conversion of new business

 

•          Help ensure Personal Lines Department works pro-actively to achieve targets set by the Managing Director

 

•          Respond to enquiries from clients and insurers received by phone, letter, e-mail or fax in a courteous and helpful manner and ensure that all information required by clients or underwriters is obtained and communicated

 

•          To share responsibility for dealing with any actions attaching to existing clients on mid-term adjustments.

 

Key performance Indicators

 

  1. The management of existing clients records in terms of accuracy and quality of advice

 

  1. The provision of a superior client service

 

  1. Renewal Retention in accordance with budgeted income

 

  1. Successful cross-selling of products

 

  1. Finding/suggesting opportunities to promote the company or increase business revenue and implementing the ideas

 

  1. Ongoing relevant Continuous Professional Development (including CII qualifications as discussed below)

 

 

Qualifications and Capabilities

 

 

  1. Must have at appropriate industry experience

 

  1. Must have good technical knowledge of the Personal Lines market

 

  1. Product knowledge should include:

 

    1. Private Cat Insurance
    2. Household Insurance
    3. HNW

 

  1. Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills

 

 

  1. Must understand renewal processes and be able to exercise efficient timing in order to manage the departmental diary system and produce renewal documentation

 

  1. Must be able to work in a structured and planned manner and be able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail

 

  1. An understanding of financial data is required in order to monitor client statements for credit control/bad debts avoidance

 

  1. Knowledge and understanding of available markets and current market conditions

 

  1. Must understand mid term adjustment process and accurately record and amend cover changes.

 

 

 

Salary is pro rata £20000 to £25000 depending on relevant experience and suitability. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm 1 hour for lunch.
